much love, and luck to everyone else cluing up their work!
sadly, dru and epic hair + shake-faces are coming to an end. but, the short hair is a welcome change and he’ll look awesome either way!
in other news… i may have slept in (i did) and unintentionally (honest) shaved my 6th last day of class completely off the map. (bad student. sorry pierre!)
seriously though, only 5 more days of driving back and forth to school say WHAT. and tomorrow is a holiday. and the sun is shining! the best.
a few favorites from a roll of film i’ve had in my camera for a few months now! dru actually just bought a scanner, so now we’ll be able to have all of our negatives uploaded and in a much better quality than the discs we’ve been getting from walmart. much better!
on another note… my fourth year project has been ordered!
(panic totally ensued typing that).
but seriously, that’s it, that’s all, its done, and there’s no making changes now. such a weird feeling! i just need to stop second guessing choices in the mean time. it was hard to narrow down what i’ve been up to and i would never be able to include everything that i would like (i’m a bit nonstalgic for shake face right now) but my teachers and few friends i’ve had to get opinions from have been supportive of what has been put together. so, i think i’m going to be really happy with it! only 29 days until the show, and the days to no more classes count… 16!
hope everyone’s having a good week!
i’ve been curious for a while what it would be like to start doing manual double exposures, so on a fairly spur of the moment trip to st. john’s this weekend to see my sister i took advantage of the 8 hours travel time both ways and tried my hand at them.
i’ll admit i’m pretty much photoshop illiterate, so i edited both images in lightroom first and them imported them into photoshop, played with opacities, reimported the final images to lightroom and fixed minor details and clarity. thoughts? it still doesn’t touch film (duh, considering film is the best) but i think it might be interesting all the same.
hope everyone had a good weekend!
first i had breakfast cooked for me, then we packed up to spend the day in gros morne for a photo drive, then i was proud of myself for remembering to bring rubber boots considering it was raining, then i realized said rubber boots were actually two different sizes but its no big deal because my right foot just enjoyed the dry extra room. then we drove home to cooked dinner and then thoroughly enjoyed a new episode of the walking dead to which i passed out cold before it ended. did i just admit that? sorry darryl. i’ll drool over you later this week, promise!
apart from some tire bustage, yesterday was seriously the best though. and as someone who would rather remove limbs than have her photo taken, i kind of maybe sort of love this photo (just a liiiiiiittle bit) because while i doubt many people will notice, it was taken as far from school as possible ; ) and on such a great day!
and for GRAD.
as in graduation.
in case you didn’t know yet.
(except that you did.)
i put up a quick preview of bree up just a few weeks ago, but seeing as per how TODAY is her actual birthday… and how her mom is a dream client (who shares my love of black and whites, can you tell?) i figured it’s worth putting up another load of favorites. she’s too cute not to share!
much love, and the happiest of birthdays to this very happy little girl!
another portrait shot for school! phil’s been the easiest so far, so a huge thanks goes out for that! apparently if you tell a guy to sit on a coffee table in front of a window, he’ll laugh at how ridiculous you are, you take a shot of the “your absolutely whacked” smile, and your done 30 seconds later. ain’t no thing.
in other boring news, i finally don’t have a temperature of 40 degrees like i have for the past three days! whew. what a way to forget your name and all other obligations. thankfully the very kind doctor i saw yesterday helped and gave me every medication under the sun for the flu (not exaggerating, i write this while loving glancing at a puffer, antibiotics, nasonex which i have since ditched because unless you enjoy the taste of metal i don’t recommend, and ibuprofen). the funnest of times.
but its back to the homework grind again. this countdown of mine is about to tip into the forties!
